Raspberry-Redcurrant Jam

Our raspberries and redcurrants, like so many of our people in Alaska, are barely domesticated, the bushes gone to thickets. These redcurrants come from our garden. The raspberries are half-wild, small and intense.  The trick is to cook the raspberries just enough to keep them whole and suspended, like constellations, in a garnet currant sky.
